Sea Ray/BIMC - Assembler/Fitter/Installer

Position Overview:

As part of the talented AFI team, you will perform a wide variety of tasks in a large boat manufacturing facility. Assembly tasks performed may include gunking, glassing, assembling, fitting, and installing.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for installing cabinets, floors, cockpits, benches, and other installation tasks as assigned.
  • Install the front of the line interior work with emphasis on the final finish elements and cosmetic aspects of the boat.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of boat building experience preferred
  • Fitting / Installing experience
  • Working knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules
  • Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements positively and proactively
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in dusty and hot environments
  • Commitment to safety and hazard reporting
  • Understanding of basic safety regulations and PPE usage
  • Physical ability to handle job requirements including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods
Location & Compensation:

Based in Merritt Island, FL. Pay range: $20.60 - $25.05/hr, plus potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
