Calvert County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a seasonal lifeguard to ensure patron safety, perform first aid, and maintain pool facilities. The role includes enforcing rules, collecting entry fees, and attending regular training sessions.
Requirements include current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid & CPR/AED certification and being at least 18 years old. Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Responsible for the overall safety of patrons, general maintenance, and cleaning of facility.
Implements appropriate rescue, first aid and emergency procedures.
Cleans pool, bathhouse, and related areas daily.
Collects entry fees.
Enforces all rules and regulations as they relate to pool safety.
Attends weekly training sessions.
Performs any other duties as assigned which relate to the operation of a public swimming pool.
Performs related work as required.
