Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a SE Weekender Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Medical Telemetry department. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with weekend night shifts.

You will graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold current LPN licensure in Missouri, with BLS. Sign-on bonus eligibility up to $2,000 is available and Mercy supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Missouri LPN licensure required.
• Experience: Experience preferred in medical telemetry or acute care settings.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Licensure: Maintain current LPN license in the hiring state and meet board requirements.
• Physical: Regular lifting, standing, and mobility as part of patient care duties.

SE Weekender - Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Medical Telemetry

Status: Part-Time - 24hrs/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights - Scheduled Weekends

• Position may be sign-on bonus eligible up to $2,000***

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Experience: Experience preferred.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
