Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives supporting SDV and Vehicle as a Tester (VaaT) capabilities across manufacturing. You’ll bridge software, bench readiness, IT, validation, and plant integration to deliver clear plans, align stakeholders, and manage risks to meet launch commitments.

You will drive readiness reviews, governance, and status reporting while maintaining a single source of truth for program health and timelines.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of program, project management, or Scrum experience in automotive or software environments.
• Strong risk, issue, and change management skills.
• Experience with manufacturing plants and test environments affecting production.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High ownership and learning agility in evolving SDV/VaaT environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated SDV/VaaT plans across software, bench, IT, and plant readiness workstreams.
• Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action plans.
• Align engineering, IT, validation, manufacturing, and plant teams on hardware, software, connectivity.
• Lead readiness reviews, governance forums, and status reporting.
• Maintain a single source of truth for program health, owners, due dates, risks, and issues.
• Drive cross-functional resolution of issues affecting VaaT deployment, software readiness, and connectivity.
• Translate manufacturing issues into clear problem statements and action plans.
• Support manufacturing launches and plant integration by aligning readiness criteria.
• Improve planning, reporting, and governance practices as SDV/VaaT expands.
• Build strong partnerships across software, manufacturing, engineering, and program management.
