Job summary

The GoochlandCares organization seeks a Sexual & Domestic Violence (SDV) Supervisor to coordinate the SDV program, supervise staff, advocate for clients, and lead community outreach. Responsibilities include case management guidance, employment navigation, crisis hotline operations, on-call coverage, grant tasks, and outreach to underserved communities.

The role requires MSW/LCSW or BSW with substantial DV experience, strong communication, trauma-informed approach, and the ability to supervise

Qualifications

  • MSW/LCSW with 2 years of experience preferred, or BSW with 5 years of domestic violence experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SDV victims.
  • Experience supervising employees and volunteers.
  • Ability to be on-call to support SDV program and urgent matters.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises SDV Advocates, monitors performance, coaches, and evaluates staff.
  • Leads case management team and provides guidance to colleagues.
  • Provides employment navigation support, career counseling, and resume coaching.
  • Builds relationships with local employers for job opportunities.
  • Manages crisis hotline and on-call schedule, including overnight/weekend shifts.
  • Assists with SDV grant writing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develops community outreach and educational presentations.
