SDS Rx, powered by DHL, seeks a Dispatcher in Pittsburgh to coordinate time-sensitive medication deliveries and dispatch drivers efficiently to meet pharmacy and customer needs.

You will manage driver schedules, routes, documentation, and communication, ensuring on-time service in a fast-paced setting with strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily driver dispatch activities and route assignments.
• Ensuring drivers arrive on time and prepared for routes.
• Monitoring route execution and addressing delays or issues.
• Managing urgent STAT medication deliveries and timely completion.
• Reviewing controlled substance manifests and documentation.
• Scanning and maintaining controlled medication records per policy.
• Supporting pharmacy operations with admin tasks and system updates.
• Communicating route status with drivers, pharmacy staff, customers, and management.
• Tracking package movement and delivery performance to meet service goals.
• Using dispatch systems to support daily operations.
• Identifying and solving operational challenges to maintain efficiency.
• Providing after-hours support until routes are released and serviced.
• Maintaining a professional, organized, customer-focused environment.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 11a - 6p
Pay: $21.00 per hour

As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in coordinating time-sensitive medication deliveries and ensuring drivers are dispatched efficiently to meet customer and pharmacy requirements. This position supports daily pharmacy operations through route management, driver coordination, shipment tracking, documentation processing, and customer service. The Dispatcher serves as a key communication link between drivers, pharmacy personnel, and customers, ensuring all deliveries are executed accurately and within required service levels.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating daily driver dispatch activities, including early morning route releases and route assignments.
• Ensuring drivers arrive on time, are properly prepared for their routes, and comply with customer and vendor appearance requirements.
• Monitoring route execution and proactively addressing delivery delays or operational issues.
• Managing urgent STAT medication deliveries and ensuring time-sensitive orders are assigned and completed promptly.
• Reviewing and processing controlled substance manifests and verifying required documentation before route release.
• Scanning and maintaining records of controlled medication documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting pharmacy operations through administrative tasks, document management, and system updates.
• Communicating effectively with drivers, pharmacy staff, customers, and management regarding route status and service concerns.
• Tracking package movement and delivery performance to ensure service commitments are met.
• Utilizing company technology, mobile applications, printers, and dispatch systems to support daily operations.
• Identifying operational challenges and implementing solutions to maintain efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Assisting with after-hours operational support as needed until all routes have been successfully released and serviced.
• Maintaining a professional, organized, and customer-focused work environment.
• Supporting a culture of teamwork, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
