Job summary

Neely Technology Group LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support SDR development for a DoW ACAT III Program of Record. You will plan features, verify requirements, and coordinate across engineering, government stakeholders, and leadership.

The role requires 3–5 years in SDR or related wireless fields, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are mandatory. On-site in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience with software‑defined radios, waveform development, or wireless communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle.
  • Experience with integration, testing, or evaluation of complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and engineering oversight for SDR development.
  • Lead development and execution of the radio capability roadmap.
  • Manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Coordinate software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test teams.
  • Lead technical reviews and customer meetings.
  • Oversee verification, validation, and operational evaluation.
  • Evaluate system performance during lab, integration, and field testing.
  • Identify technical risks and brief program leadership and government customers.
