Job summary

American International Group (AIG) is seeking an SDN Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and manage SDN solutions across enterprise data centers and cloud environments. You will develop automated workflows with Python, Ansible, and Terraform to increase agility and security, while integrating with existing WAN/LAN and observability layers.

The role requires 7+ years in network automation, strong SDN platform experience, and IaC proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
7+ years of large-scale network automation design and deployment experience.
Proficiency with SDN platforms such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX or Juniper Contrail.
Strong grasp of L2/L3 networking and controller-based design.
Hands-on with Python, Ansible, RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with Terraform and IaC.
Experience with network source of truth tools (NetBox, Nautobot).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Cloud networking concepts across AWS, Azure, GCP.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage SDN solutions across data centers and cloud environments.
Develop network automation workflows using Python, Ansible, Terraform.
Drive intent-based networking, self-healing, and zero-touch provisioning.
Troubleshoot complex SDN issues and provide long-term solutions.
Integrate SDN with WAN/LAN/cloud and observability layers.
Advance automation, monitoring, and observability best practices.
