Job summary

Caliber Smart is seeking an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for onsite roles in Dallas, TX with places in Burlington, MA and Raleigh, NC. The role demands strong hands-on API automation, database expertise, and experience testing distributed applications across the stack.

You will design, develop, and execute test automation frameworks and work with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with API automation and testing across layers of the stack.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle/DB2/PostgreSQL) and PL/SQL.
• Ability to design test strategies and automation for new products.

Responsibilities

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and Jira.
• Experience testing distributed applications across multiple layers of the technology stack.
• Hands-on experience with the test management lifecycle.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, such as Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL, including PL/SQL, complex queries, views, and packages.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, and executing test automation frameworks using tools such as REST Assured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Proven experience in Java programming and Spring Boot, with strong SQL skills. Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and SonarQube.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with Stock Plan Services or brokerage systems is a plus.
• Ability to independently design test strategies and develop test automation suites for new products and applications.
