Job summary

Alleare Consulting, LLC is seeking an SDET Automation Engineer on a 1+ year contract in Memphis, TN, onsite daily. The role involves analyzing requirements, designing risk-based test strategies, and executing automated tests across functional, API, and integration layers.

You will work through the SDLC, investigate defects, and help improve QE processes with a data-driven mindset. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Selenium Java, API testing, SQL automation, and Atlassian tools,

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional work experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Experience in test automation using Selenium Java, Rest Assured, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman, Ready API, and REST/JSON APIs.
• SQL skills with the ability to build queries and validate databases through automation.
• Hands-on experience with Microservice and REST API testing, including automation and integration.
• Proficiency with the Atlassian toolset including Jira, Confluence, Stash, and Bamboo.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Knowledge of cloud-based web application architecture with emphasis on AWS Cloud.
• Understanding of deployment technologies and cloud infrastructure.
• Front-end UI knowledge including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in the hospitality domain preferred, but not required.

Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements reviews, test planning, estimation, release validation, and production support. Design and execute risk-based functional, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests. Document results, investigate defects using logs and payloads, and communicate quality risks to Product, Development, Deployment, and Support teams. Improve test coverage, automation, and QE processes while independently prioritizing work and recommending release-readiness decisions.
