Job summary

Clara is the leading platform in Latin America for companies to execute and manage every payment operation. This remote-first role focuses on building and maintaining Clara's QA automation platform, including Playwright-based frameworks, services, and internal tools on Clara's React/Next stack.

You will collaborate with QA Automation Lead, Pod Leads, and product engineers to ensure automation is reusable and scalable, with robust test management and AI-assisted capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience (backend and/or fullstack), with demonstrable automation or developer-tooling delivery.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright (or equivalent E2E frameworks) and willingness to work in Clara's backend stack (Java / Spring Boot).
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (web and API); understanding of the test pyramid and when to prefer API vs UI coverage.

Responsibilities

• Automation infrastructure design and implementation for web/API automation with Playwright, stable selectors, modular architecture, and extension points.
• Build backend APIs and fullstack components that store test cases, record results, expose reports, and integrate with delivery workflows.
• Enable AI-assisted QA by structuring contracts so agents and CLIs can generate and run specs reliably.
• Implement and harden CI/CD pipelines for smoke and regression suites; reduce flakiness and improve diagnosability.
• Treat automation as a first-class codebase with reviews, tests, versioning and documentation.
