Job summary

Goodfit is seeking a forward-thinking SDET to lead our test automation strategy, building scalable frameworks across UI and API layers using Playwright and TypeScript, with CI/CD testing integration. The role also supports manual testing within Agile feature teams and guides test design for faster, higher-quality releases.

This position emphasizes collaboration with developers and QA, transitioning from legacy frameworks, and ensuring traceability and compliance across QA activities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tooling.
• Ability to guide test design within Agile teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD testing integration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Agile feature teams to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and promote a test-first mindset.
• Build, maintain, and evolve test automation frameworks using Playwright/TypeScript or other enterprise tools for API and UI testing.
• Drive the transition from legacy frameworks to unified automation aligned with CI/CD strategy.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure test cases run in CI pipelines and provide fast feedback.
• Support manual testing with test case design, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests and end-to-end tests validating requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test architecture decisions for reliability and scalability.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to validate data integrity and support test data creation.
• Serve as a quality engineering champion and mentor peers for QA practices.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects, supporting enterprise policies.
