We are looking for a Playwright SDET to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
This is a great opportunity for a test automation professional to build robust, scalable automated testing frameworks using Playwright, driving quality across the full development lifecycle, in a hybrid role based in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable automated test suites using Playwright
- Develop test automation and reusable testing utilities using TypeScript/JavaScript
- Design and execute unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
- Apply strong debugging techniques, including mocking, test data management, and negative/edge-case testing
- Troubleshoot test failures using logs, traces, and network diagnostics
- Collaborate with developers to identify testable requirements and improve overall test coverage
- Continuously refine automation strategy and testing best practices across the team
Qualifications
- 3-6+ years of SDET/QA automation experience, including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites with Playwright
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript development skills
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong debugging skills, including mocking, test data management, and troubleshooting via logs/traces/network analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
