Job summary

ImplantBase/OpenDoctor is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead automation across web and mobile platforms. You will modernize and expand the automated testing framework, migrate test cases to Playwright, and maintain a scalable regression suite for continuous product quality.

You will collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to improve test coverage, accelerate releases, and shape automation strategy for a healthcare scheduling platform used globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of QA automation experience.
• Experience developing automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with modern testing patterns (e.g., POM, data-driven testing).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
• Knowledge of RESTful API testing, mocking, and test data management.
• Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and CI/CD integration.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive automated regression testing.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to define testing strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
• Integrate automated tests into build pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and monitor results for continuous improvement.
• Analyze automation failures, debug issues, and identify root causes with engineers.
• Convert key manual test scenarios into automated scripts to improve coverage.
• Maintain clear documentation of test plans, frameworks, and procedures.
• Advocate for test automation best practices within a distributed team.
