Job summary

Sonymedia’s Quality Engineering internship is a hands-on role focused on testing PlayStation video playback and streaming experiences. You’ll work with engineers to develop automated tests in Python that validate performance and reliability across PlayStation video features.

You’ll gain experience with Python automation, testing frameworks, and CI tools, collaborating with developers to improve testing processes and deliver high-quality video experiences while contributing to ongoing QA efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with a test automation framework such as pytest.
• Experience with Git for version control and CI tools like Github Actions or Jenkins.
• Interest in video, streaming, or media technology is a plus.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn how video playback and streaming work on PlayStation and how the team tests these features.
• Develop and execute automated tests using Python to evaluate video features.
• Improve existing testing tools and frameworks and explore new approaches to detect issues earlier in the development process.
• Write and run Python automation within Jenkins CI to support testing.
• Identify, reproduce, and report software bugs, collaborating with developers to investigate and resolve issues.
• Gain hands-on experience with test automation, debugging, and quality engineering practices.
