Job summary

LiveLike is seeking a Test Engineer with 5–7 years of QA and automation experience to ensure the quality of our real-time fan engagement platform. You will perform manual testing and develop automated scripts using Selenium/Appium, while collaborating with product and development teams to support rapid delivery and high reliability.

Responsibilities include designing test cases, conducting functional and performance testing, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on software testing experience, blending manual and automation.
• Proven automation experience with Selenium or Appium and test frameworks (JUnit/TestNG).
• Experience testing web and mobile apps, API testing, and database validation.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like JIRA; CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/CircleCI/GitLab).
• Strong QA methodology knowledge and ability to design test strategies.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Test Engineer with 5-7years of experience in quality assurance and test automation. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our platform by conducting both manual tests and developing automated test scripts. You will work closely with our development team to ensure our platform's functionality, reliability, and performance for real-time interactive experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly understand requirement documents, identify potential edge cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Translate requirement documents into detailed and precise manual and automated test cases, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met.
• Conduct functional, non-functional, security, and performance testing.
• Continuously enhance testing strategies, tools, and practices to improve test automation, efficiency, and coverage
• Execute comprehensive manual tests for new and existing features.
• Design and document test cases for various functional and non-functional scenarios.
• Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct regression tests to verify bug fixes and product stability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to define test strategies and requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning to ensure adequate test coverage and timely delivery.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure the platform can handle high loads and real-time interaction.
• Test the product across platforms (web, mobile) and devices to ensure compatibility.
• Monitor user experience during live events to ensure seamless operation.

Key Requirements:

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a blend of manual and automation.
• Proven experience in test automation using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of API testing and database validation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and related testing practices.
