Job summary

Apple in Austin, TX is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to support Quality Engineering by developing and maintaining automated tests, enhancing testing frameworks, and integrating testing infrastructure with CI/CD systems to ensure high-quality software releases.

The position focuses on server-side automation, extending test frameworks for web services, and collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment to triage failures and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented programming experience, preferably with Java and Kotlin.
• Experience extending test frameworks for web services.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with Gradle and Git.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side automation, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Extend existing test frameworks for web services.
• Review automation test results, identify failures, and report bugs.
• Triage partner-facing automation failures and drive their resolution.
• Develop new automated tests for existing features and enhancements.
• Integrate testing tools and frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment.
