Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test Apprentice to join its Quality Engineering function for a structured 12-month apprenticeship. This full-time program provides mentorship, hands-on testing, and automation work to build a solid foundation for a career in software engineering.

Apprentices will work on real testing initiatives with guidance, alongside experienced SDETs and software engineers, learning automation frameworks, API testing, defect analysis, CI/CD processes,

Qualifications

• Completed term in an open source mentorship or contribution program with merged and reviewed work.
• Working fluency in Go, or depth in another systems language and quick learning.
• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes.
• Graduation timeline allowing a full-time conversion at end of term.
• Experience building money-handling, correctness invariants, or multi-tenant isolation is valued.

Responsibilities

• Work on testing and automation initiatives that contribute to product quality.
• Collaborate with experienced SDETs and software engineers.
• Develop ADRs, review designs, and carry on-call context for what you ship.
• Merge to main in week two and be part of a single charter team.
