You will design and build resilient, high-throughput, event-driven software architectures and data processing frameworks to ensure observability and real-time tracking. Primary responsibilities include building modular backend services and data pipelines, implementing real-time monitoring and alerting, ensuring strict access controls, and integrating

• Proficient in asynchronous Python coding and concurrency patterns.
• Experience with Kafka and distributed event-driven data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, ELK) and monitoring.

Software Development Engineer - Active TS/SCI with FSP

Location: Herndon, VA

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Salary Range: $210,000 – $250,000

Description

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to support mission-focused work. Designs and builds resilient, high-throughput, event-driven software architectures and data processing frameworks to ensure system observability and real-time event tracking. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

Primary Responsibilities

• Build modular, fault-tolerant backend services and event-driven data pipelines.
• Implement real-time monitoring, logging, and automated alerting for system health and data flow events.
• Ensure strict access controls, concurrency, and scalable record-keeping across complex software platforms.
• Integrate asynchronous systems and message brokers to enable seamless data interchange.

Salary

Salary for this position is determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific budget considerations.

Proposed Salary Range: $210,000 – $250,000
