Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue is seeking an SDE intern/co-op to tackle real customer problems with scalable services. You will work on cloud-native architectures, contribute to microservices, and impact millions of customers worldwide.

You will join a mentorship-driven team, matched to a manager, and gain hands-on experience with robotics, computer vision, and fulfillment technologies in a full-time internship or co‑op.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in CS/CE/DS/IS or related STEM fields.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and object-oriented design principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate products and services that delight customers.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices in a large distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
• Design, develop and test software components interacting with robotics, material handling, CV and cloud services.
