Job summary

Riverhead Financial Partners is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to join our Melville, NY team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software used across the organization, building frontend and backend features, and integrating with APIs, databases, and internal services.

You will collaborate with sales, operations, underwriting, and leadership to turn business needs into reliable technical solutions, ensuring production quality and contributing to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building software across frontend and backend layers.
• Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling.
• Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain proprietary software used across Riverhead Financial Partners.
• Build new features for internal and client-facing applications.
• Develop and maintain frontend and backend functionality.
• Work with APIs, databases, third-party integrations, and internal services.
