Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer for Ads AI Core Infra. You will design, code, and deploy robust microservices powering the central data lake for Advertising, with scale across campaigns, ad-serving, billing, and more.

You will work on Spark, EMR, Athena, and AWS-based systems, focusing on availability, latency, and cost efficiency while collaborating with product managers and engineers to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product & Program Managers to understand requirements and brainstorm solutions.
• Design, code and deploy components and micro‑services for the core job management pipeline.
• Ensure testability, maintainability and low operational footprint for your code.
• Participate in operational responsibilities with your team.
• Innovate on AWS technology to improve latency, reduce cost and operations.
