Position Summary
Odyssey has an exciting opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services supporting the US Space Force and its mission to protect and defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness Battlespace Intelligence (SDA BI) Acquisition Program Manager in support of the US Space Force, Space Systems Command's Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, and Battlespace Intelligence (BMC3I) Acquisition Delta.
This position provides Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to plan, acquire, deliver, and sustain battlespace intelligence capabilities that enhance SDA decision advantage, accelerate the transition of AI-enabled prototypes into operational capability, and strengthen interagency and coalition partnerships in support of acquisition activities. In this role, you will blend expertise in program management, defense acquisition strategy, cloud-based modeling and simulation, and joint space communications operations to deliver multi-mission solutions to capability delivery challenges in a dynamic mission environment.
This is a full-time position based at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs, CO, with the opportunity for occasional telework at the discretion of the Government.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support program planning, execution, and delivery for USSF Battlespace Intelligence initiatives, developing and maintaining integrated program plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure alignment with strategic goals and compliance with relevant DoD directives.
- Advise government leadership on acquisition strategy development and execution, including the selection of traditional and non-traditional pathways such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Commercial Solutions Openings (CSO), Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements, and prototype-to-production transitions under the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
- Support development of proposals, statements of work, and other acquisition documents, and support market research and proposal evaluation activities to facilitate industry engagement and the rapid prototyping of AI solutions.
- Coordinate with government, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), industry, and allied partners to integrate AI-driven modeling, simulation, and decision-support innovations into broader SDA architectures and operational concepts.
- Provide technical recommendations and strategic guidance to government personnel on the application of commercial cloud, modeling and simulation, and AI technologies to SDA activities, focusing on risk mitigation, capability delivery, and sustainment.
- Support the translation of operational requirements into acquisition requirements and capability roadmaps, serving as an advocate for operational users (Guardians) throughout the capability development lifecycle.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with interagency, coalition, and commercial stakeholders to enable interoperability, accelerate adoption of emerging capabilities, and strengthen the SDA industrial base.
- Advise on the secure delivery and operation of AI/ML platforms and data environments across classified networks, supporting DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation activities and cyber-resilient program execution.
- Identify and manage program cost, schedule, and performance risks, proactively devising risk mitigation strategies and supporting technology insertion efforts that align with SDA objectives.
- Perform regular reporting, documentation, and briefings to government leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability for all acquisition program management activities.
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations at the request of the Government.
- Other duties as required/requested by the Government within the scope of the S3 contract.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret/SCI
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Years of Experience: 10 years of directly relevant experience, all of which must be in the DoD or Intelligence Community
