Capgemini in the United States is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a hybrid role based in Boston, MA. You will contribute to building Java microservices with Spring Boot, Docker containers, and Azure cloud deployments, working in a highly functional Agile team.

The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on Java experience, strong understanding of design patterns, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases like MongoDB. You will mentor teammates and document technical designs and architecture.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with Java microservices and Docker.
  • Knowledge of Java design patterns: Observer, Factory.
  • Experience with microservice patterns: Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, database per service, event-driven architecture.
  • Web development, unit testing with JUnit and SonarQube.
  • SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Azure services and AKS knowledge.
  • Integrations with microservices on Azure cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Document technical details of coding projects with code comments, architecture and flow diagrams.
  • Understand design specifications and deliver high-quality, well-documented code.
  • Drive technical issues to closure with good communication.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver features.
