Fearless is seeking a Scrum Master to support delivery of a large‑scale federal workforce training and learning management program. This role sits at the center of day‑to‑day execution, ensuring that cross‑functional teams are aligned, unblocked, and delivering consistent value in a structured Agile environment.

Your Responsibilities In This Role
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across teams.
  • Maintain and manage team backlogs in coordination with product owners, business analysts, and program leadership, ensuring alignment with program priorities and contractual objectives.
  • Create and maintain a reasonably detailed Project Work Plan (PWP) in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Track and report on Agile delivery metrics (velocity, sprint progress, burndown, blockers) to support transparency and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Identify, elevate, and help resolve impediments that impact team productivity, coordinating across technical, instructional design, and operational teams as needed.
  • Support coordination across multiple workstreams including LMS operations, training development, help desk activities, and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and tasks are clearly defined, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • Promote adherence to Agile best practices while tailoring processes to meet federal program requirements and reporting structures.
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams and support integration of deliverables into the broader program schedule.
  • Maintain documentation of sprint artifacts, decisions, and action items to ensure traceability and continuity.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to align day‑to‑day execution with overall program strategy.
  • Foster a team environment that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and open communication.
Place Of Performance & Travel Requirements
  • The role is primarily remote but requires attendance at in‑person customer meetings at the client’s headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, as needed.
  • The individual will support approximately three in‑person events annually within the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. These events range from one to five days and require full on‑site participation.
The Impact You Will Create
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver world‑class services.
  • Earn the trust of customers and teammates by delivering on objectives on time.
  • Alert teammates and supervisors immediately when a deliverable is at risk.
  • Gather intelligence and listen to client feedback, reporting back whether it is positive, negative, or informational.
  • Provide actionable insights and innovative solutions by translating stakeholder requirements into clear priorities.
Project Specific Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Agile delivery in federal or large‑scale enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Coordinator for cross‑functional teams, including technical and non‑technical workstreams.
  • Experience managing Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms for backlog tracking and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to apply them in structured, compliance‑driven environments.
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and managing interdependencies in complex programs.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design workflows is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal clients and working within government delivery environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with federal contract reporting and performance tracking is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
