Location-Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite in Owings Mills, MD Thursdays are mandatory)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (contract)
Compensation Range: $55-$70/hr

Job Description

Lead cross-functional Agile teams, manage ceremonies, and support modernization initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, demos)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, engineers, and business stakeholders
• Serve as Scrum Master for the API team with potential to grow into managing 2 teams
• Gather requirements, write user stories, and support prioritization of work
• Guide teams through technical and portfolio modernization initiatives
• Use tools like Rally and Jira to structure work and track progress
• Act as liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Must-Haves:
  • 5 years of Scrum Master experience
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Rally, etc.)
  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams and running multiple Agile work streams
  • Technical experience with AWS Cloud and integration projects
  • Experience with data modernization (e.g., migrating from mainframe DB2 to PostgreSQL)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships
• Nice-to-Haves:
