Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Scrum Master in Jackson, Michigan to coach one or two cross-functional teams and drive Agile practices. You will facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and partner with Product Owners to keep the backlog healthy and aligned with business goals.

The role requires strong facilitation and coaching skills, experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools, and a track record of improving delivery and team maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for one or two cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Guide teams in adopting Agile values, principles, and practices to improve delivery and collaboration.
• Monitor progress and identify risks, dependencies, and impediments and help resolve them.
• Foster self-organization, accountability, innovation, and high performance.
• Coach individuals, teams, and stakeholders to advance Agile maturity.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine product backlogs and prioritize work.
• Maintain Azure DevOps release plans and Agile artifacts.
• Prepare and deliver project status updates and metrics to leadership.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, frameworks, and delivery practices.
• Experience facilitating backlog refinement and Agile planning activities.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams using servant leadership techniques.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build trust and foster effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT processes, and project delivery methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile management tools preferred.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, forecasting, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Adaptability, business acumen, and political awareness.
• Business Analysis experience and utility industry knowledge are preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
• Additional Agile, Project Management, or Business Analysis certifications are a plus.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
