Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a DevOps Specialist in Dearborn, Michigan to build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools enabling rapid software development, deployment, and release. The role emphasizes DevOps practices across the product lifecycle and automation to accelerate secure releases.

The candidate will drive CI/CD, support production and testing deployments, and continuously improve systems. Strong Linux, Windows, GCP, and GitHub/Jenkins experience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
• Deploy updates and fixes to ensure continuous integration.
• Develop integrations with internal back-end systems as needed.
• Perform root-cause analysis of build and pipeline issues.
• Develop automation to improve existing processes.
• Create new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Adopt DevOps practices across the product lifecycle for software components.
• Accelerate releases while ensuring security and reducing risk of failed recalls.
• Shorten cycle time from user feedback to updated software via CI/CD and continuous feedback.
• Assess existing systems; identify and implement improvements.
• Leverage platforms and tools to enable DevOps practices.
• Support releases and deployments across production, testing, and sandbox environments.
• Lead automation and innovation opportunities across the software lifecycle.

Job Description:

• Employees in this job function are responsible for building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/ code development, deployment and release.
• They also help the organization speed up and automate aspects of the software lifecycle through a series of DevOps practices and processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components
• Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releases
• Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedback
• Assess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve them
• Utilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approach
• Assist code/ software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox etc.
• Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycle
