Job summary

Initiate Government Solutions is seeking a remote Scrum Master to lead Pega application delivery for a federal client. You will guide two-week sprints, translate requirements into user stories, and ensure alignment with business goals while collaborating with Product Owners and development teams.

The role requires 4+ years in analysis or transformation and 2+ years as Scrum Master, with US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust. Travel is not required, but onsite meetings may occur.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, or transformation initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience as Scrum Master.
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, consulting, or another client-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience defining business questions, success metrics, or reporting requirements with clients or cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pega product development from discovery through delivery, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to client business needs.
  • Engage end customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, document user stories, and define clear acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize the backlog with the Product Owner based on business value, delivery urgency, dependencies, and security considerations.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for two-week sprints by facilitating planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide leadership to the development team by removing blockers, managing risks, coordinating dependencies, and driving accountability.
  • Document accomplishments and deliverables for clients through sprint summaries, status reports, demos, release notes, and UAT support.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Develop and optimize business process workflows and rules in collaboration with technical teams.

IGS is currently recruiting a remote Scrum Master to support our work with the our customer.

The Scrum Master leads Agile delivery for Pega application development, guiding projects from requirements gathering through successful deployment. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to define user stories, prioritize backlogs, and ensure business needs are translated into effective technical solutions.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. The Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access customer systems and therein use approved customer provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience supporting business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, or transformation initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience as Scrum Master
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, consulting, or another client-facing role
  • 2+ years of experience defining business questions, success metrics, or reporting requirements with clients or cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Compensation:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
