IGS is currently recruiting a remote Lead Pega System Architect to support our work with our federal customer.

Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. The Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access VA systems and therein use approved VA provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.

The Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) provides technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and optimization of Pega-based solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical strategies, and ensure successful system implementation aligned with organizational goals. The LSA leads architecture and development teams, oversees design and code reviews, ensures compliance with security and regulatory standards, manages platform performance and accessibility requirements, collaborates with vendors and integration partners, and mentors junior developers while promoting best practices and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
  • Provide technical leadership as a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA), ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand application requirements.
  • Define IT strategies and manage infrastructure to meet organizational objectives.
  • Lead teams in system design, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and information security protocols.
  • Provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and development framework.
  • Expertise in co-designing Pega integration with other technologies in collaboration with integration architects and cross-technology counter parts.
  • Coordinate with Pega vendor on Service Requests and their resolution.
  • Manage Pega platform level 508 defects and their plan for resolution.
  • Perform design reviews, code reviews and ensure code quality and compliance with guardrails, best practices and satisfy performance requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and system architects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelors/master’s in computer science (CS) preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in IT leadership/architecture, specializing in Pega
  • Certified Pega Lead System Architect is required
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, and security standards
  • Experience with Pega Infinity/Constellation UX Design System/Version 8.X
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dynamic, project-based roles
  • Strong organizational skills
  • US Citizenship required due to clearance requirement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
  • Experience working with Pega eForms and content generation in PDFs is preferred
  • Active VA Public Trust
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

Compensation:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
