Job summary

THE PANTHER GROUP is hiring a Scrum Master for our client in Sterling Heights, MI. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, coach the team, and remove impediments to ensure on-time feature delivery for vehicle electronic systems.

You will work with stakeholders, refine backlogs, monitor sprint progress, and report delivery metrics. Required: CS M/PSM cert, 2+ years Scrum Master, 5–7 years dev experience, experience with Jira/Azure/DevSecOps; must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in CS or Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of project development experience.

Job description

We are hiring a Scrum Master for our client in the Sterling Heights, MI, area. This person will be responsible for facilitating the Scrum process, coaching the team, and removing obstacles so the team can deliver on-time feature delivery in support of our client's vehicle electronic systems. Guides the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement. Employing appropriate coaching and development techniques. Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team. Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams. Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization. Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role. Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization. Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives. Work closely with the Program Owner and RTE on backlog refinement and prioritization. Monitor sprint progress, team performance, and delivery metrics. Provide clear, concise updates to leadership and stakeholders. Helps maintain project timelines and identify risks.

Experience

• Experience with safety critical systems or real time systems is desirable
• Experience working with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure, DevSecOps)
• Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
• 5-7 years project development experience.
• 2 years Scrum Master experience
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications

• Must be a US Citizen

This position will require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired.

Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)

Compensation

Pay $48 - $53 / hour W2 depending on experience
