Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Scrum Master in Sterling Heights, MI to lead Agile development for defense vehicle electronics programs. The role focuses on facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching cross-functional teams, removing impediments, and delivering features on schedule.

Responsibilities include backlog refinement collaboration with the Program Owner, RTE, and stakeholders, plus monitoring sprint progress and delivery metrics. U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of project development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Scrum Master experience.
• Scrum Master certification such as CSM or PSM.
• Experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies in development environments.
• Experience with Jira, Azure, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Guide Scrum teams in applying Agile practices, Scrum principles, and established processes to deliver high-quality products and services.
• Coach teams in self-organization, cross-functional collaboration, domain knowledge, and continuous improvement.
• Identify team strengths and improvement opportunities and apply appropriate Agile coaching techniques.
• Ensure Scrum theory, practices, and guidelines are followed.
• Remove impediments and work with other Scrum Masters to improve organizational Scrum effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Program Owner and RTE on backlog refinement and delivery planning.
• Monitor sprint progress, team performance, and delivery metrics.
• Provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.

We are hiring a Scrum Master to support Agile software and systems development for defense vehicle electronic systems and ground combat vehicle programs. This role facilitates Scrum ceremonies, coaches cross-functional Agile teams, removes impediments, manages sprint performance and delivery metrics, and works closely with the Program Owner, Release Train Engineer (RTE), stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters to support on-time feature delivery.

The Scrum Master will apply Agile and Scrum methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts, and tools such as Jira, Azure, and DevSecOps while supporting complex, safety-critical and real-time systems development.

• Facilitate and support Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Guide Scrum teams in applying Agile practices, Scrum principles, and established processes to deliver high-quality products and services.

• Partner with the Program Owner and Release Train Engineer (RTE) on backlog refinement, prioritization, and delivery planning.
• Monitor sprint progress, team performance, delivery metrics, project timelines, and risks.
• Provide concise project, sprint, and delivery updates to leadership and internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with Agile teams and stakeholders to support decision-making across project and product initiatives.
• Support Agile teams performing primarily Business as Usual (BAU) work, department initiatives, and applicable corporate projects.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Agile practices across the organization.
• Support Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and DevSecOps development practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of project development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Scrum Master experience.
• Scrum Master certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
• Experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies in project or product development environments.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting safety-critical systems or real-time systems.
• Previous experience supporting ground combat vehicles or military vehicle programs.
• Experience applying continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
