Aptask Global Workforce seeks a Scrum Master for a 12+ month contract in Orlando, FL. You will guide agile teams, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and help teams mature their processes.

The role requires 5–7 years of Scrum experience, CSM or SAFe SM certification, strong facilitation and communication, plus a Bachelor’s degree preferred. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across programs and support integration with release trains to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Understanding of software development lifecycle and processes.

Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Major Media and Entertainment Company located in Orlando, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a Scrum Master, you will guide, coach, and motivate an Agile software development team to increase productivity and drive end value. This role involves facilitating all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring the team’s processes mature at a sustainable pace. You will be the team’s Scrum expert, fostering an environment of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint demos
• Work with the Release Train Engineer to integrate efforts with other teams
• Consult with the Product Owner to validate and communicate team priorities
• Guide, coach, and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
• Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
• Remove impediments to help the team reach an optimum, sustainable velocity
• Lead the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Ensure the Rally system is always up to date to reflect the current state
• Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach them to higher levels of maturity
• Communicate and ensure alignment of priorities with Program stakeholders
• Build and support a trusting and safe environment where challenges are addressed proactively
• Manage, publish, and communicate relevant metrics to the team on progress against objectives

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of scrum experience with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification
• Experience guiding teams to effectively write, split, and map stories
• Understanding of basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of test-driven development
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes related to Scrum
• Experience with relative estimation, retrospective, and agile release planning techniques
• Must be self-motivated, well-organized, and have strong innovation and facilitation skills
• Proven oral, written, and business presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• BA degree preferred

Pay range:

up to $67.51 per hour
