Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking a Scrum Master to support SAFe Agile delivery teams within an enterprise technology environment. The role focuses on facilitating SAFe ceremonies, guiding teams, and coordinating with senior leadership for day-to-day delivery.

The Scrum Master will work with Product Owners, Engineers, Scrum Masters, and Agile Coaches to ensure SAFe practices are followed and delivery commitments are met across platform and integration teams.

Qualifications

• Experience working on SAFe Agile teams.
• Hands-on experience facilitating sprint planning and Azure DevOps in an Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile and SAFe ceremonies (Sprint planning, PI planning).
• Serve as a servant leader to one or more Agile teams to improve flow and predictability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, other Scrum Masters, and Agile Coaches to ensure delivery commitments.
• Maintain backlog readiness, sprint execution, and reporting using Azure DevOps.
• Balance guidance from Leads and Agile Coaches with team needs.

Job description

We are seeking a Scrum Master to support SAFe Agile delivery teams within an enterprise technology environment. This role is ideal for an experienced Scrum Master who is confident facilitating core Agile and SAFe ceremonies, can effectively guide teams while taking direction from senior leadership, and brings a high level of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail to day-to-day delivery.

The Scrum Master will support platform and integration-focused teams, working closely with Product Owners, Engineers, other Scrum Masters, and Agile Coaches to ensure consistent execution of SAFe practices and delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including:
  • Sprint planning
  • PI Planning and PI execution events
• Serve as a servant leader to one or more Agile teams, helping teams:
  • Improve flow and predictability
  • Adhere to SAFe and Agile best practices
• Partner closely with the Product Owner, supporting effective backlog readiness, sprint execution, and delivery outcomes through collaboration and shared accountability
• Maintain strong organizational discipline, including:
  • Ensuring ceremonies are well-prepared and time-boxed
  • Keeping backlogs, sprint plans, and action items current and visible
  • Following through on commitments, risks, and dependencies
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, aligning on standards, practices, and cross-team dependencies
• Take direction from and partner with a Lead Scrum Master and Agile Coaches, balancing guidance received with proactive support of team needs
• Support teams operating in platform and integration environments, coordinating work across systems and technical domains
• Use Azure DevOps to support sprint execution, backlog hygiene, and reporting
• Perform light administrative and financial data entry in ServiceNow
• Promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within and across teams

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working on SAFe Agile teams
• Strong hands-on experience facilitating:
  • Sprint planning
  • Experience using Azure DevOps in an Agile delivery environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a Scrum Master community
• Comfortable taking direction while also providing guidance to teams and partners
• Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
