Role Overview

We are seeking a Scrum Master with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to lead structured, predictable Agile execution across engineering teams. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Agile processes that guide our development activities. You will own all aspects of Jira administration and reporting, ensuring that program priorities, schedules, and engineering commitments are accurately represented and consistently maintained.

You will facilitate the team’s core Agile routines—including daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives—while ensuring teams remain focused, aligned, and unblocked. A key responsibility of this role is partnering closely with the Program Manager to ensure program priorities, milestones, and delivery dates are clearly communicated and properly translated into actionable engineering tasks.

This position requires a structured, detail‑oriented leader who can drive accountability, maintain transparency, and support predictable execution across multidisciplinary hardware and software teams. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Agile best practices, and the ability to convert program objectives into clear, trackable engineering work.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the owner of Jira and Jira reporting, ensuring all tasks, priorities, dependencies, and dates are accurate, current, and aligned with program needs.
  • Lead daily scrums, driving focus, accountability, and rapid resolution of blockers.
  • Run sprint planning sessions that translate program priorities into clear, achievable sprint commitments.
  • Lead and enforce regular backlog grooming to maintain a clean, prioritized, and well‑defined backlog across engineering teams.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure program priorities, dates, and deliverables are accurately reflected and flowed down to all engineering disciplines.
  • Track sprint progress and team performance using Jira dashboards, burndown charts, and Agile metrics.
  • Identify and remove impediments to maintain momentum and ensure teams can execute efficiently.
  • Facilitate cross‑team coordination to ensure alignment across engineering, operations, and program leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement by driving retrospectives and implementing actionable process enhancements.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding sprint status, risks, and progress toward program milestones.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, or similar role supporting engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development, including workflows, dependencies, and integration with hardware‑centric engineering environments.
  • Strong technical foundation across engineering disciplines, enabling effective communication with hardware, software, and systems teams.
  • Deep experience with Jira administration, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead Agile team routines with structure, clarity, and consistency.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey priorities, decisions, and expectations across diverse engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting complex hardware‑software development programs, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high‑reliability environments.
  • A disciplined, execution‑focused leadership style with a commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work on‑site and engage directly with engineering teams to maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Benefits at Ramon.Space include medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, FSAs, 401(k) match, short term and long‑term disability, and parental leave.
  • Flexible hybrid working model with opportunities for remote work. The office is located in the south Denver suburbs.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Be part of a pioneering team in the satellite communication industry.

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$180,000 with the potential for a bonus. Ramon.Space will consider relevant work experience, skills, education, and training when putting together an offer for this position.
