  • Bridge business, product, development, QA/QE, UI/UX, and regulatory stakeholders.

Scrum Master

Location: Danvers, MA - Day 1 onsite (can be hybrid)
Work Authorization: USC / GC only
Employment Type: W2 only

The Scrum Master serves as a critical liaison between Product Owners, Software Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of software products.

This role is responsible for facilitating Agile processes, ensuring sprint commitments are met, and driving high-quality requirements development, traceability, and design control management in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Sprint Planning & Execution
  • Facilitate sprint planning activities to ensure sprint goals are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Monitor sprint progress and proactively identify risks, impediments, and dependencies that may impact delivery.
  • Drive accountability within the development team to ensure sprint commitments and sprint goals are achieved.
  • Collaborate with team members to remove obstacles that hinder progress.
Backlog & Work Item Management
  • Review user stories and work items to ensure acceptance criteria are complete, measurable, testable, and aligned with intended outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and team leads to clarify scope and requirements before work enters a sprint.
  • Support prioritization and re-prioritization of sprint work as needed to maximize delivery value while maintaining sprint focus.
  • Ensure tickets are appropriately refined, estimated, and ready for development.
Agile Ceremonies
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Stand-ups
    • Sprint Reviews/Demos
    • Sprint Retrospectives
    • Backlog Refinement Sessions
  • Promote continuous improvement through effective retrospective discussions and action tracking.
  • Provide Agile coaching and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
Reporting & Communication
  • Track sprint metrics and communicate progress, risks, blockers, and delivery status to stakeholders.Foster collaboration across Product Management, Development, QA, QE, and leadership teams.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
Requirements Development & Management
  • Partner with Product Owners, Software Developers, QA, and QE to define, analyze, and document software requirements.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear, complete, and testable Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • Ensure requirements support intended product functionality and regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Facilitate requirements review sessions and drive stakeholder alignment.
Traceability Management
  • Own end-to-end requirements traceability across:
    • User Needs (UNS)
    • Design Inputs (DIR)
    • Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
    • User Interface Requirement Specification (UIRS)
    • Language Requirements Specification (LRS)
  • Ensure traceability matrices remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Identify and resolve traceability gaps and inconsistencies.
Design Control Administration
  • Own and maintain requirements and design control records within Jama.
  • Facilitate the creation, organization, review, and maintenance of requirements artifacts within Jama.
  • Coordinate routing of requirements and related artifacts for stakeholder review and approval.
  • Monitor approval workflows and ensure completion within project timelines.
  • Generate and export design control documentation from Jama such as SRS, UIRS, LRS, SDD.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a bridge between business, product, development, quality assurance, quality engineering, system, UI/UX, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support impact assessments for requirement changes and product enhancements.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience writing and managing software requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability tools such as Jama.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive consensus among stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Knowledge of design controls, requirements traceability, and quality system requirements.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness and regulatory documentation activities.
