Actalent is seeking a Scrum Master for an onsite role in Austin, TX, working with hardware and robotics subsystem teams. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, protect the Product Owner’s time, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across robotics, sensors, controls, and software.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Scrum facilitation experience in hardware contexts, plus Jira proficiency and a CSM/PSM certification.

Qualifications

  • At least 3+ years of experience facilitating Scrum and agile ceremonies for hardware development teams.
  • Hardware development experience is required or highly preferred.
  • CSM or PSM I certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Experience with robotics projects or robotics-related systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across robotics, sensors, controls, software and support.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage ceremony logistics and support team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies for hardware and robotics teams: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Plan and manage ceremony logistics: scheduling, agendas, and tooling to support collaboration.

  • Promote agile best practices within hardware development teams and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remove impediments and improve workflows.
  • Use Jira and other agile tools to organize work, track progress and maintain transparency of commitments and delivery.

Job Description

This Scrum Master role focuses on facilitating agile ceremonies for individual hardware and robotics subsystem teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across cross-functional groups and protecting the Product Owner’s time for strategic work such as requirements, stakeholder engagement, and roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills
  • At least 3+ years of experience facilitating Scrum and agile ceremonies for hardware development teams.
  • Hardware development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for agile planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I).
  • Experience working with robotics projects or robotics-related systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as robotics, sensors, controls, software, and support.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage ceremony logistics and support team collaboration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience applying agile practices in complex, multi-subsystem environments.
  • Familiarity with sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure in a robotics context.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Comfort facilitating meetings and guiding discussions to keep teams focused and productive.
Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role in a growing company that builds a Titan robotic construction printer composed of multiple interconnected subsystems, including robotics, sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure. You will work closely with hardware and robotics teams in a collaborative environment where agile practices are central to daily operations. The company offers 10 paid holidays and 1 week of PTO, ideally used during a holiday shutdown in December, and provides opportunities for upward mobility and professional growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
