Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Scrum Master to support a federal client with mission-critical systems. This on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD requires an active Secret clearance and US citizenship.

You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. You will work with cross-functional teams to remove impediments, monitor progress, and promote Agile principles in a fast-paced, recalls-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• US Citizens only due to contract requirements.
• 7+ years of experience in IT programs within an Agile environment.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.

Maximus is seeking a Scrum Master to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission-critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

The Scrum Master will facilitate and ensure the effective implementation of Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and productive environment for a federal client’s operations. As a crucial member of our team, the Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in guiding teams through Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

This position is on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD and requires Secret Clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement
• Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Facilitate collaboration and communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment on project goals and seamless integration of deliverables
• Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
• Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.
• 7+ years of experience supporting IT programs in an Agile environment, including serving as a Scrum Master and facilitating Agile delivery teams.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
