Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a respected healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM to recruit a Surgical Technologist for the Surgery Department. You will support surgeons before, during, and after procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile operating room.

This PRN role requires a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and current BLS certification; CST is preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols

What You'll Do
