The role involves monitoring PAR levels of surgical instruments and pain management supplies, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and participating in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technician Certification, 1 year of experience, and current BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technician Certification required.
• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with patients and family.
• Provide patient with explanations and verbal reassurance, as necessary.
• Notify appropriate licensed personnel when patient complains of pain.
• Adapt procedures to meet individual needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for treatment.

Job Summary

This Surgical/Scrub Tech opportunity is part time on our Surgery Unit and offers a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Surgical/Scrub Tech that will monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and pain management supplies. Clean and sterilize all surgical instruments used in the OR and Pain Center. Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
