Panekprecision in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Screw Machinist to set up and operate single or multiple-spindle screw machines and CNCs. You will analyze specifications, select tooling, and run production with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship.
Ability to read blueprints, part prints and work instructions.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to quality.
Experience setting up multi-spindle screw machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints and plan the sequence of operations and tolerances.
Set up and operate single or multiple spindle screw machines and CNCs.
Select speeds, feeds, and tooling according to process sheets.
Install and adjust tooling, measure parts with gauges, calipers and micrometers.
Monitor machines, verify conformance to specs, and adjust as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and follow safety policies in a full-time on-site shop.
