I’m seeking a screenwriter, producer, or film/TV agent to help adapt my published memoir, The Tongue Chains, into a feature-length film for festival circulation, pitching to streaming platforms (Netflix, Amazon, Apple), and/or studio development.

The right candidate will have experience in book-to-screen adaptations and/or packaging scripted content for the film/TV market, preferably with a track record or network that includes Netflix or reputable production companies.

About the Book:

The Tongue Chains is a published memoir by Khaled Bassyouny (Austin Macauley). It centers on the life of a stutterer and his emotional journey—exploring shame, struggle, identity, and transformation. The "chains" metaphor represents limitations on self-expression that are broken over time.

Project Scope:

• Adaptation of full-length memoir (~200–300 pages)
• Goal: ~90–105 page screenplay for a feature film
• Budget: Paid (negotiable)
