Job summary

Strong Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to perform installation services across the United States.

The role requires a self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with extensive travel and overnight stays. You will install projection screens, cinema seating, display panels, LED walls, and run network and speaker cabling.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of technical or installation experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work with ladders or scaffolding.

  • Install projection screens, frames, and masking systems.
  • Install cinema seating, drapery, and speaker systems.
  • Run network and speaker cabling.
  • Install display panels on walls and surfaces.
  • Install high-end LED video walls and specialty displays.
  • Install scaffolding and load/unload materials.
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality and delivery issues.
  • Take ownership and perform other duties as assigned.

About The Role

The Installation Technician is responsible for performing installation services for Strong Technical Services cross the United States. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and works well both on their own and within a team environment. This position will require extensive travel and will be a mix of both over the road and air travel.

What You'll Do
  • Install projection screens, frames, and masking systems
  • Install cinema seating systems, drapery, and speaker systems
  • Run network and speaker cabling
  • Install display panels on walls and other surfaces
  • Install high-end LED Video Walls, and specialty displays
  • Construct and break down of scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures
  • Load and unload building materials
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality, specifications, and delivered condition of products
  • Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned

This position requires in and out of market travel up to 100% of the time; this position requires the ability to work weekends, occasional holidays, and overnight.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of technical or installation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with power and measurement tools
  • Basic knowledge of construction techniques
  • Must be comfortable completing work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and screen frames
  • Must be able to lift weight in excess of 50lbs regularly
  • Must be able to sit, stand, push, or pull for periods of time
  • Follow safety regulations in accordance with local guidelines
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic computer networking
  • Valid driver's license required; must be capable of operating non-CDL trucks with trailers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress, face-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
  • Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
