Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Paving Machine Screed Operator for North Phoenix, Arizona projects. The role focuses on safe operation of the screed to produce a level asphalt surface, with daily maintenance and adherence to project specs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the paving crew, monitoring temperatures, and adjusting gates and endgates. The position requires at least 1 year of asphalt equipment experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating asphalt equipment.
• Must have strong commitment to jobsite safety.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Operate the screed to provide a level asphalt surface.
• Ensure screed is clean and adjusted for paving type and width.
• Monitor temperature settings and project specs (grade and slope).
• Troubleshoot screed issues during paving operations.
• Assist paving crew with site prep and other tasks as needed.
