Job summary

Velvet Taco in Naperville, IL is hiring for a versatile kitchen team member available full-time or part-time. You’ll prepare high-quality food to order, follow recipes, and maintain a fast-paced, clean station.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant; scratch kitchen experience a plus
• Food Handlers Certification
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality food items to order with passionate speed
• Follow recipes and ensure food presentation looks outstanding
• Complete assigned prep list and portion per spec
• Run station efficiently during shifts and stock as needed
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
• Label food and ensure proper FIFO rotation
• Maintain fast-paced cleaning habits throughout shift
• Assist with cleaning smallwares and equipment as needed
• Support management with other duties as assigned
• Be part of a team and contribute to Velvet Taco’s vibe
