Job summary

Velvet Taco, Inc. is hiring cooks to join our fast-paced kitchen in Chicago. You will prepare high-quality, made-from-scratch items with speed, follow recipes, and ensure attractive presentation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant; scratch kitchen experience a plus.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality food items to order with passionate speed; follow recipes for consistent presentation.
• Complete prep tasks and portion products per spec.
• Efficiently run your station, stock food, and rotate ingredients (FIFO).
• Label food and assist with deliveries, cleaning, and sanitation as needed.
