Job summary

Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, CA is hiring a Baker I to prepare and bake bakery items following established standards and recipes. You will set up ovens, maintain equipment, and ensure food safety across high-volume production.

Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma, 6 months to 2 years of bakery experience, and knowledge of weights, measures, and decorating skills. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; 6 months to 2 years bakery experience
• Preferred culinary school certification or equivalent
• Ability to read recipes and use weights and measures

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake all bakery items following established standards and recipes.
• Use weights and measures to adjust ingredients in recipes.
• Set up oven, bake area, and mixing areas as required for product production including oven temperatures and bake times.
• Operate, clean, and maintain baking machines and equipment.
• Maintain high level of safety and sanitation.
• Protect the assets of PRC and maintains confidentiality.
• Understand basic baking procedures.
• Perform work under direct supervision.
• Handle basic issues, problems, and refer only the more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of baking.
• Other duties as assigned.
