Job summary

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is seeking a Scrapyard General Laborer for a metal recycling company. The role pays $16.00 per hour with hours Monday-Thursday 6 A.M.–3:30 P.M. and Fridays 6 A.M.–12:00 P.M.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift and skid steer, hand picking and sorting scrap metal, keeping the yard clean, and maintaining a strong attendance record. PPE is required, including steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Able to work outside in heat and on outdoor scrap lots.
• Physically able to perform movements such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must wear PPE including work pants, sleeves, and steel-toe boots.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and skid steer equipment.
• Hand pick and sort scrap metal for processing.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and safe work areas.
• Demonstrate good attitude, performance, and attendance.

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking dedicated candidates for a Scrapyard General Laborer position with an established Metal Recycling Company. This position will pay $16.00 per hour and the hours are Monday-Thursday from 6 A.M.- 3:30 P.M. and Fridays from 6 A.M.- 12:00 P.M.

• Utilize a forklift and skid steer
• Hand picking and sorting scrap metal
• Clean up scrap yard
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Capable of working outside and in heat handling metal
• Capable of physical movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting products above the shoulders if necessary
• Capable of wearing PPE: to include work pants, shirt with sleeve and steel toe boots
