Job summary

Carpenter Technology Company is seeking a dedicated weighmaster and scrap delivery/receiving coordinator to direct loading, unloading and weighing of all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with purchasing specifications.

You will supervise scrap yard personnel, coordinate with carriers, and maintain records while upholding safety rules and company policies. Strong communication and leadership are essential to keep operations efficient and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving for metals scrap and alloys.
• Ability to verify material conformance to purchasing specifications.
• Knowledge of radiation checks and SOP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directs loading, unloading and weighing of all incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
• Enters required data into the computer system and/or forms; distributes information and maintains records.
• Verifies conformance of incoming material to purchasing specifications and reports nonconformance per SOPs; performs daily radiation system checks.
• Schedules carriers; creates BOLs for shipments to customers and other Carpenter facilities; maintains a scheduled receipts log.
• Provides notifications for material not received as scheduled and coordinates rescheduling as required.
• Acts as scrap yard contact for internal/external customers and suppliers; communicates across departments.
