Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. in Bridgeville, PA is seeking a dependable Scrap Yard employee to join our Melt Shop team. The role involves receiving, weighing, recording, and preparing scrap materials, with training provided to advance beyond the Utility position.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting. 12-hour rotating shifts, with potential overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills are required.
• Strong organization and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record incoming Melt Shop materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for Melt Shop materials.
• Weight specified amounts of scrap metal.
• Record and store materials in proper locations.
• Direct and coordinate activities of the Scrap Yard crane.
• Maintain organized material storage areas.
• Use hooks, slings, magnets, claws, charging buckets, and scale transfer equipment.
• Follow safety and material-handling procedures.
• Communicate material or operational concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
